My beautiful bride spent many a weekend at Pigeon Bay when she was younger, thanks to her father's interest in sailing. Here she is at Pigeon Bay again, with a portion of Holmes Bay in the background.

Crab Hunt, Jan 6 or 8

Philip, Matthew, David and Daniel love searching for crabs beneath the rocks at Pigeon Bay. It was a bit cooler on the day of this photo, hence the need for jerseys and trousers instead of the standard fare of shorts and t-shirts.

Camping at Pigeon Bay, Jan 5-9

We spent five days tenting at Pigeon Bay, along with Katrina's parents Wayne & Edna Radford, in the early days of January. What a delightful time we had. Wayne rowed the boys around in his little dingy (which became affectionately called "thingy", as in "the dingy is a thingy"), the boys rowed themselves in Wayne's canoe, and a sail or two in Wayne's yacht Maranatha. The weather was not too hot, and apart from general sleeplessness on the first night, the boys did very well. We'll do it again soon.

The Pad Goes On, Dec 22

Here's the boys from Southern Concrete Pumps laying the concrete pad. I asked if they ever lost anything in the pad (i.e., thinking of perhaps dropping keys or something like that), but their answer was "well, you know, a body here or there". That was unexpected. I made sure I counted my sons prior to leaving the work site!

David Trowels Dad's Office, Dec 22

The team at Southern Concrete Pumps laid the concrete pad on December 22. We arrived in time for David to trowel a portion of Dad's new office. Thanks David!

Groundwork 2003 Ltd Lay Foundation, Dec 20

The boys at groundwork 2003 ltd laid the foundation for our new home on December 20. We arrived just as the four workers were laying the black poly over the stone base prior to the concrete pad being laid. The two lead workers of groundwork were very well spoken, and a credit to the company. Keep up the good work lads!
